UrbanThink at VivaTech 2025: a showcase for climate innovation
UrbanThink made an impression during VivaTech 2025, the largest European fair dedicated to the technologies of tomorrow. Invited by Ecolab, as part of its labeling, UrbanThink presented ThinkCities, its pioneering solution serving the ecological transition of territories. A look back at a strategic presence that reflects UrbanThink's commitment to a useful, responsible digital world firmly rooted in climate action.
An invitation within the “Tech for Change” space
Integrated into the “Tech for Change” space, UrbanThink benefited from visibility thanks to the recognition from the General Commissariat for Sustainable Development. This label, a mark of seriousness and impact, honors the most promising startups in the field of environmental transition through technological innovation.
Our presence at VivaTech 2025 was part of a clear logic: to highlight concrete solutions in the face of the climate emergency. ThinkCities, at the heart of our demonstration, sparked the interest of public, private, and institutional players coming to explore technologies with high potential impact.
Strategic meetings with the climate & tech ecosystem
Concrete discussions with engaged climate tech players
Feedback on the challenges of territorial implementation
Ideas for structuring partnerships, particularly around the analysis of indirect emissions (scope 3), low carbon strategies, or even ZAN planning.
UrbanThink was thus able to affirm its positioning within the French greentech ecosystem, building connections with incubators, local authorities, digital integrators, as well as large groups in search of credible and immediately mobilizable solutions.
ThinkCities: a territorial management solution to accelerate ecological planning
At the heart of our participation was ThinkCities, our territorial decision-making tool based on multi-scale environmental and energy analysis. Designed for local authorities, industrial stakeholders, and asset managers, ThinkCities offers an integrated approach to managing transition policies.
The key advantages of ThinkCities presented at VivaTech:
An intelligent mapping of vulnerabilities (natural risks, ZAN, heat islands, etc.)
A recommendation engine based on territorial data and adaptation scenarios
Real-time monitoring of over 60 environmental indicators: climate, energy, water, biodiversity, mobility…
A collaborative interface designed to facilitate coordination between elected officials, technicians, and partners
Compatibility with current regulatory frameworks: SRADDET, PCAET, Green Fund, RE2020…
Thanks to a user-centered approach, ThinkCities makes data accessible and operational, serving a sober, resilient development aligned with climate objectives.
Addressing the major challenges of ecological transition through data
The UrbanThink approach is based on a simple observation: environmental data is underutilized, poorly valued, and rarely converted into levers for territorial action.
Our response at VivaTech was clear: we make data a tool for decision-making, not an end in itself. With ThinkCities, we support:
Territories in prioritizing their sustainable investments (infrastructure, networks, buildings…)
EPCI and local authorities in the operational implementation of their climate plan (PCAET, CRTE…)
Private actors in structuring credible environmental roadmaps (GHG assessment, CSR strategy…)
Multi-stakeholder consortiums in the development of territorial digital twins
This technological positioning, combined with our human approach to consulting, allows us to create bridges between field issues and the national and European regulatory requirements.
UrbanThink, a growing startup engaged in the Greentech ecosystem
By joining the initiatives led by Ecolab and the Ministry of Ecological Transition, UrbanThink is part of a dynamic framework for structuring the greentech sector.
We assert our commitment to:
Contribute to an ecology of solutions, by providing concrete tools rooted in the territories
Participate in the reduction of inequalities in access to environmental data, particularly in rural and island territories
Encourage the emergence of a low-carbon digital space through the optimization of calculations, the use of resource-efficient technologies, and responsible open data
Put innovation at the service of a fairer, more inclusive, and more effective planning
A clear message: for data-driven public policies
VivaTech 2025 allowed us to convey a strong message: the ecological transition requires transparent, interoperable management tools based on measurable indicators.
ThinkCities establishes itself as a true environmental GPS for territories, capable of guiding choices, anticipating vulnerabilities, and reporting on the progress made.
Conclusion: VivaTech 2025, a springboard for UrbanThink's ambitions
Our participation in VivaTech 2025 demonstrated that territories and businesses are seeking clear, accessible, and immediately actionable solutions to address climate challenges.
UrbanThink has positioned itself as a player in the French greentech, at the intersection of data, territorial resilience, and climate strategy.
